Warehousing Associate / Driver (Part- Time)

Job Summary: Responsible for the shipping and receiving of products into the plant. Acts as a back-up DZ driver, safely delivering products to Denninger’s retail locations and wholesale customers.
Reports to: Plant Foreman
Job Duties
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming goods, reporting discrepancies as needed
- Move stock to appropriate department/ storage and maintain accurate inventory records
- Prepare and verify retail and wholesale orders for timely shipping
- Operate invoicing terminals, handheld devices, lift trucks, and scales
- Assist in weekly inventory checks in coolers, freezers, and grocery storage
- Maintain cleanliness in warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas per SSOP guidelines
- Assist with delivery driving as needed (medium duty delivery trucks) to cover absences including but not limited to sick days, vacations, etc.
- All other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- 2 years experience in a warehousing, shipping /receiving or comparable role preferred
- Must have or be willing to get their DZ license
- Must be comfortable driving large vehicles and have a clean driving record
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to participate in an early schedule (Monday- Friday, 5-7am)
- Ability to work in a meat processing facility (cool temperatures, diverse meat protein contact)
Essential Job Functions
- Sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
- Bend and twist the upper body, reach above and below shoulders.
- Bend and lift loads, up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
