Job Summary: The Front of House Bistro Lead is responsible for supervising the daily operation of the Bistro. They are responsible for managing effective service while ensuring all customers at the Bistro are served in a courteous and efficient manner.

Reports to: Store Manager

Job Duties
  • Supervises, delegates and participates in daily departmental operation including but not limited to food preparation, customer service and departmental cleaning
  • Responsible for ensuring efficient service while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for merchandising and maintaining the Bistro counter to maximize sales
  • Responsible for departmental ordering to support the Company's Merchandising and Promotional strategies 
  • Responsible for monitoring product rotation and discounting, escalating product feedback to vendors as applicable
  • Responsible for expense control in the bistro, including but not limited to labor and operational expenses and preventative maintenance
  • Provide training to new and existing Associates on Company best practices and expectations as well as policy adherence
  • May have keyholder responsibilities including opening, closing and mid- shift duties
  • May assist with curbside orders
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements
  • One year experience in a quick- service restaurant  leadership role is required.
  • Experience working with ovens, knives, grills is required.
  • Culinary experience is an asset.
  • Food Handlers certification is an asset.
  • Smart Serve certification is an asset. 
  • Demonstrates a  hands on management style
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to delegate
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and professionalism throughout all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information 
  • Excellent time management skills

Essential Job Functions
  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time. 
  • Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. 
  • Bend and twist the upper body, reach above and below shoulders.
  • Bend and lift loads, up to 50 pounds. 
  • Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
