Sanitation Associate (Full- Time)

Job Summary: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, tools and surfaces according to protocols and general building cleaning.

Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and surfaces following established protocols to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to effectively remove residues and contaminants.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in common areas, offices, restrooms, and other facility spaces.
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Adhere to hygiene standards and procedures to ensure a safe environment for food production.
- Assist with the implementation and enforcement of company sanitation policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a sanitation or cleaning role, preferably within a food manufacturing or similar industrial setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper usage, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with raw meat products (beef, pork, chicken).
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable with assisting other departments as necessary.
Working Conditions and Environment
- Meat packaging and food manufacturing plant.
- Physically demanding and fast paced work environment.
- Early morning start.
- Refrigerated (cold) environment.
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
