Job Summary: Responsible for the merchandising of the grocery department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Merchandise grocery shelves, displays, and end caps to maximize visual appeal and sales.
- Ensure all products are properly faced, priced, labeled, and rotated (FIFO).
- Monitor stock levels and replenish as needed from back stock or warehouse.
- Set up and maintain promotional and seasonal displays in coordination with marketing or store management.
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking deliveries in accordance with store procedures.
- Identify low-stock or out-of-stock items and communicate replenishment needs to the Grocery Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in all grocery aisles and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to support overall store operations and customer service.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Travelling between locations is required. Must hold a valid G2 drivers license with access to a reliable vehicle.
- Previous experience in grocery merchandising or retail required, specialty food store experience is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with professional communication across all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and evenings.
Essential Functions:
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
- Bend and twist the upper body, reach above and below shoulders.
- Bend and lift loads, up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
- Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
